Wine & Sales Support Assistant
Are you enthusiastic, keen to learn, and excited by the idea of working with wine?
We’re a friendly, family‑run business looking for someone who wants to grow with us, no industry experience required, just the right attitude.
United Supplies is a long‑established local company with several divisions, including wine & spirits supply and wholesale distribution. You’ll work closely with our Sales Manager and get hands‑on experience with products, customers, suppliers, and the day‑to‑day running of the wine department.
Alongside your wine responsibilities, you’ll also play a key role in our Wholesale Division, helping manage orders, stock, suppliers, and logistics.
This is a varied role with plenty of opportunity to learn how different parts of the business operate.

What the role involves
You’ll support the Sales Manager and wider team with a mix of wine‑related and general sales support tasks, including:
- Handling customer enquiries, quotes, and orders
- Updating pricing, product lists, and sales documents
- Working confidently with systems and spreadsheets (Excel will be used daily)
- Assisting with purchasing and stock ordering
- Helping maintain and grow our wine customer base
- Producing reports and supporting data analysis
- Coordinating logistics and deliveries
- Supporting the Wholesale Division with order collation, stock checks, invoicing, and supplier communication
- Assisting the Digital Marketing division with structured admin and data tasks
You’ll be speaking with customers and suppliers regularly, so confidence on the phone and email is important, but we’ll support you every step of the way.
What we’re looking for
- Someone keen, positive, and willing to learn
- Genuine interest in wine (no expertise needed)
- Strong computer skills, especially Excel and general system confidence
- Friendly, clear communicator
- Organised, reliable, and proactive
- Comfortable working with numbers and reports
- Experience in admin, hospitality, sales support, or customer service is helpful but not essential
- Enjoys variety and supporting multiple divisions

- £26,000 salary
- Full‑time, office‑based role (8:30–5:00, Mon–Fri)
